Helen consulted us twice, one for a new construction home design, a job which we did not complete and a renovation redesign and interior design of a family home we just moved into. We seek to be budget conscientious and Helen found tasteful and affordable options for us to install. Furthermore, we enjoyed her inspiration for each floor plan, lighting design and elevation work.... we have completed the work on the renovation house and really enjoy the new layout. My wife grew up in the home and it is as if it is a completely new home with the added benefit of deep roots holding our family down.

C&H designed a kitchen and mudroom update, a new powder bath, and a hall bathroom update. They did such a wonderful job. All the spaces feel welcoming, warm, spacious, cozy, functional, and durable. They designed the updated spaces to flow with the unmodified spaces so that the house feels cohesive and purposeful. I don’t know how they accomplished all of this magic, but they did. Working with Helen at C&H Design was easily one of the best decisions we made in our remodel! This was my first experience with C&H and I will never undertake a renovation project without them again! Helen was a joy to work with on my master bathroom, master closet, and laundry room renovations. From the very beginning of the project, and at every step along the way, Helen listened closely as I explained my needs, carefully considered my taste and the existing style of my home, and kept my budget in mind. The end result is a thoughtful design that meets my needs perfectly and looks beautiful in my home! C&H provided multiple iterations of detailed drawings and plans as we revised my project into budget, coordinated with my contractor directly to make communication seamless, checked in on the work multiple times to track progress, and made terrific suggestions for finish selections that I absolutely love but would never have thought of myself. My project is nearing completion on budget and slightly ahead of schedule and I know this would not have been possible without C&H!

Our rental home needed a major overhaul, I mean right down to the studs! C&H Design took on the job with a determination to create our new living space. They were professional, always prompt in communication, and transparent along every point in the process. Their eye to detail, and creativity in design inspired our own imagination. Helen and Calla are incredible to work with. They did an excellent job taking in what my husband and I wanted, but didn't totally agree on, for our project and bringing it together to our final vision. They are incredibly responsive to feedback and were willing to work with us to make the changes we felt would be best. They were very patient with us during the times we were busy and not overly responsive to their emails. I would work with them again in a heartbeat and have already recommended them to numerous friends and neighbors.

We love C&H! They are a solid team. Calla & Helen care about each project as if it was their own house. We hired them for two different large projects. The first project was our laundry room addition and powder bath, the second project is our kitchen renovation (still going on). From discussing the initial concepts and crafting meticulous drawings to the final installation, their attention to detail is what makes every project a success. In addition to their excellent skill set & design taste, their respect & awareness of what I needed as a client was always a top priority. I'd hire them again in heartbeat. Calla and Helen are amazing at what they do!  They helped us design many of the rooms in our house, some of which was picking new furniture and art pieces, and others were complete remodels.  They listened to our input and spent time in our home to get a better idea of  or preferences and what we wanted.  They immediately started offering helpful suggestions and we were able to start our renovations quickly.  They spent time and effort making selections for us, and if we were hesitant about an idea or product, they would offer other suggestions.  They were considerate of our budget and our family life and gave us design ideas that stayed in our price range and would accommodate our busy family life.  We highly recommend Calla and Helen for helping design a beautiful space.  We will definitely use them again for our future projects.

C&H was a game-changer for our large and complex remodel. Professional and responsive doesn’t even begin to describe the level of service and care you get as their client. They brought fresh ideas to the table, pivoted on a dime when needed, and really helped tie all of our contractors together (construction, architect, etc) even though that wasn’t even their core job. Our house is so much better because of C&H, and we’d recommend them in a heartbeat — and have many times!

We hired C&H to design the main living spaces in our new home. They were thoughtful and attentive in listening to our requests, and responded with choices that we are incredibly happy with.
